We hope you all are having a great start in the New Year. We are praying and believing that this is going to be your best year yet! We’ve been busy so far in 2019 as we took our first family trip to Orlando, Florida last week and we’ve been working hard to plan for our first conference on January 12th in Cincinnati. We decided that we would go to Universal Studios and we stayed at the Loews Portofino Hotel located on Universal Studios Property. It was a toss up for us between doing a Disney trip or spending time at Universal Studios. We both had not been to Universal Studios in several years and after checking on accommodations at Disney, we were worried that Disney might be too crowded, plus our children our getting older (ages 8-15) and we thought Universal Studios might be a better fit. And we were right! We had a great time at Universal studios and we loved staying at the hotel on the grounds of Universal as we could take a short boat ride over to the park each day and it wasn’t overcrowded. Plus we decided to book a themed Guest Suite for the kids and it was decorated out with everything Minion including cute minion beds, wallpaper and a decorated door. Our younger two kids loved it, we’re not sure how much our 15 year old liked it but we can at least tease him about it later in front of his friends, haha.
We visited both parks during our trip to Universal and loved Universal Studios the most. Daron was such a good sport and rode everything with the kids, including the Rock n Roll Rollercoaster and the video that I have of his face while riding it is priceless. My favorite ride was the minion ride…I just loved it! I think Daron and I both have discovered a new love for minions while on this trip. We also enjoyed a great restaurant that we would recommend if traveling to Orlando and if you like burgers and sushi called CowFish. Overall we loved Universal and would go back as long as we were able to get Fast Passes again (this is a must if you decide to go to the parks. We want to hear from you? Leave us a comment about your family travels to Disney or Universal? What was did you like? Where did you stay? What would you recommend?
On our way back home from the trip, we experience a mix-up at the airport with one of the kids that we talk about in the video and it leads us into a discussion about overcoming feelings of fear and how to have faith to move forward. After watching the video, we would love for you to join the conversation in our community group and share your personal experience…
Have you ever felt these feelings and what helped you the most to overcome your fear and step forward with faith? Share your comments and let us know and we would love to connect with you! And if you’re not a member of the community, you can join here, JOIN the FACEBOOK COMMUNITY
We also hope you enjoy the time of worship and prayer in our video and please let us know how we can pray for you and your family this week.
Lots of love,
Brooke and Daron
