We used frozen bananas, Greek yogurt and a bit of powdered sugar to create these healthy, spooky ghosts. How to store Halloween fruit treats

After you have made these Halloween fruit ideas, you will want to make sure you store them properly. The banana ghosts can be stored at room temperature as long as it is cool in the room, otherwise, you will want to store them in the refrigerator. It is important to keep them in an airtight container. If you need to stack the bananas on top of one another because of space, you will want to put a piece of wax paper between the layers.

  • powdered sugar
  • mini milk chocolate chips
  • wooden popsicle sticks

How to make banana ghost treats

Peel each banana and then slice in half crosswise. Then slice it in half lengthwise.

Move the bananas to a silicone mat or parchment-lined baking sheet. Carefully push a popsicle stick into the end of the banana. Freeze it for 30 minutes.Banana ghosts dipped in yogurt and laying on silicone mat

In a mixing bowl, stir together the yogurt and the powdered sugar. Once the bananas are frozen, dip the bananas into the sweetened yogurt and then put it back onto the mat or cookie sheet.

Add 2 mini chocolate chips to the banana for eyes.

Freeze the bananas for at least one hour.

Frozen yogurt covered bananas easily turn into a cute Banana Ghosts Halloween treat you will love!

Ingredients
 

  • 2 large bananas
  • cup nonfat Greek vanilla yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 16 mini milk chocolate chips
  • 8 wooden popsicle sticks

Instructions

  • Peel the banana and slice it in half crosswise. Slice each half in half again, lengthwise.
  • Transfer the banana pieces to a silicone or parchment-lined baking sheet. Carefully insert a popsicle stick at the flat end of the banana and freeze for 30 minutes.
  • In a small mixing bowl, stir together the yogurt and the powdered sugar.
  • When the bananas are frozen, dip them in the sweetened yogurt, and place them back on the silicon baking mat.
  • Place 2 mini chocolate chips at the top of the banana for the eyes, and freeze for at least 1 hour.
